Privacy

The short version

Natterling stores as little about you as it can get away with, never sells anything to anyone, and lets you delete everything with one button.

What we store

• Without an account: your progress (XP, streak, finished lessons) lives only in your browser, on your device. It never reaches our servers.
• With an account: your email, a securely hashed password, and a copy of that same progress so it can follow you between devices. Stored with Supabase in the EU/US cloud.
• If you send feedback: the message you wrote.

The AI practice partners

When you do a roleplay lesson, the messages you type in that conversation are sent to OpenAI (the company behind ChatGPT) to generate your partner's replies and your feedback. Don't put anything in a practice chat you wouldn't want a big tech company to process. We don't store your practice conversations at all — when you leave the lesson, they're gone.

What we don't do

• No selling or sharing of your data. Ever.
• No ad trackers. We count visits anonymously (Vercel Analytics), nothing more.
• No reading your feedback or progress for any purpose except making the app better.

Deleting everything

Signed in? Your account pagehas a "delete my account and all progress" button that does exactly that, immediately and permanently. Not signed in? Clearing your browser data removes everything, because everything was only ever in your browser.
